A favourite and privileged location in the centre of Torrevieja (Alicante province, Autonomous District of Valencia, Spain) is the picturesque promenade and most popular beach in the city, "Playa del Cura". This area provides a great deal of entertainment and an abundance of bars, cafés and restaurants, with a wide selection of Spanish and international cuisine to suit all tastes and budgets, as well as souvenir shops, supermarkets, shops and the historic part of town. The port and bus station are within walking distance. This is a great place to relax at any hour or day. Clean sand, interesting small sculpture forms, good use of the artificial mini bays for bathing children and non-swimmers. In the evenings there is a multilingual, mixed-age crowd flitting along the promenade and the surrounding lanes and alleys.
